For a different, and relaxing, perspective of Singapore, try one of the many harbour and island cruises.

Cruise vessels come in every shape and size. Humble bumboats ply up and down the Singapore River, while junks, or tongkangs the original sailing ships of the East - make a circular tour around the closest Southern Islands. There are also Imperial Chinese-style vessels which go on regular or customised tours.

Departure points for harbour cruises are at the Singapore Cruise Centre at the World Trade Centre and Clifford Pier near the financial district.

Options include Morning Cruises, Lunch Cruises, Afternoon Cruises, Sunset Cruises, Dinner Cruises and River Cruises. Some of the dinner cruises offer dance performances or live shows, while many of the afternoon cruises include a high tea service.

Cruises should be booked in advance, either through the Concierge or the tour desk in your hotel.
